SMJEŠTAJ
Accommodation in guesthouses or small flats in Split’s historic center, around Diocletian’s Palace (fourth century CE) on the harbor, is reasonably priced. The following agent is working with the local organizers and the university guesthouse has made rooms available:
Dalmatian villas (Dalmatinske vile) is a rental agency that will work with METM participants to find rooms or small flats in nearby locations in Split’s historic center. Prices vary but can be expected to be around €30 per person per night for our participants, assuming double occupancy. First register for METM08, and then write to Mr. Igor Kosta, putting “METM 08 participant” on the subject line. Book early - there is pressure for accommodation in Split in September.
University visitors’ guesthouse: A limited number of rooms have been reserved for 10-13 September. The price is 240 HRK (€33) per person and room if rented as single rooms or 160 HRK (€22) per person if shared (i.e. 320 HRK or €44 for the room). First register for METM08, then write to Ana Ivanis to book a room. Nearby bus number 17 goes to the conference venue. Taxi service to share is being arranged.
